I am not about to deny the fact that I am a moving gender stereotype. if I were honest I would say that I like getting pedicures, I enjoy shopping, and I can’t avoid going out to grab drinks with the girls after a hard day’s job.

Something else that I love to do is to obsess over my hair and walked passed boutiques and just lost after beautiful shoes. I am blessed with a naturally skinny body structure so I am one of those girls who would brag about being able to eat anything and not even put on an extra in weight.

The point I am trying to make here is that I am a very girly girl and I would not give that up for any reason because it is one of the fun parts of being a female.

Nevertheless, I cannot deny that sometimes it can be difficult to maintain the baby girl lifestyle because of how terrible the economy is at the moment.

To survive the economy and still maintain my lifestyle I have been able to pick a couple of tips that will help me remain fabulous and look like I have a lot of money stop somewhere even though I’m a broke ass girl.

So if you are one of those girls who is looking to maintain your beautiful hair your manicure and pedicure and still not spend all the money in your bank account, then please go ahead and read further.

1. Start grabbing gift cards

A lot of people these days are desperately in need of some extra money, and for that reason, they would look through everything that belongs to them in search of things that they can sell to get that fast money.

One of the things that you can easily sell to get the money that she need are gift cards and store cards. It doesn’t matter whether you got your gift card as a present, or you won it online. The point is that your gift card equals money even if you got it from a store return that you couldn’t get a refund for.

However, you can’t afford to be greedy if you must sell your gift card because it can only go for a price that is less than its actual face value. What this means is that even if you have a gift card that is worth $200 you might have to sell it for as low as $17.

It is a win-win situation because you get to make the money that you need at that point and the buyer gets to save a couple of dollars for something that they want to purchase.

You can check craigslist or eBay for gift cards but make sure that you try to meet with your customer at the actual store so that you can verify the value of the gift card before you make a purchase.

2. Consider going back to school

I am a typical girl that will do anything to get the occasional massage, facial, and pedicure. But because I am on a budget, I do not go to those expensive spas or salons where I will get a free cup of tea I simply just head back to school.

Beauty and massage school students usually offer a variety of treatment and services for a tiny amount that is nothing close to what normal salons will charge you. You can search for schools around you, and if you find that difficult, you can check on yelp so that you can have reviews to read before you make any move.

3. Have a happy hour at your house

I have a group of girls who I love to hook up with for drinks almost every evening. Trust me when I say getting together with my girls is one of the awesome ways to just connect, blow off some steam, and catch up.

But I have discovered that all those drinks, even in times when we get them at discounted prices can really cost a lot of money.

What I have no decided to do is to invite all my girls over to my place so we can just drink from the juice I have in my fridge. And I definitely know it will go well and when it does, we will begin to take turns and make it to the regular thing.

I have also decided to suggest to my girls that each person comes with ten bucks for drinks so that we can have a variety of liquors to choose from. We will also be in control of the music, so we don’t have to get pissed when the DJ plays something we don’t like.

4. It’s time to get thrifty

I have always loved anything that has to do with being thrifty. I remember back in my high school, and even in my college days, I would go out and look for things that are secondhand, buy them and resell them. Now that I am older, it is still one habit that I cannot let go of.

I have come to realise that some of the coolest on most amazing things are usually not in the places where you get new stuff.

Garage or yard sales, flea markets, eBay, Freecycle, Craigslist, are just the best places to be if you want to get something that you’ve always wanted for next to nothing. If you’re looking for the best clothes the best gadgets and everything else that you want, then you must make second-handed shopping a hobby.

If you’re one of those girls who are too shy to buy second handed things, then, by all means, go with your friends. Their company may help you feel better, and you just will be amazed at the kind of awesome things you will be getting for less than they are worth.

5. Consider swapping clothes

This may come off as the weirdest idea on this list but trust me when I say your trash is some other ladies Treasure and the other way round.

Cloth swapping is very interesting because you get to give out the clothes that you do not want and get new clothes that just might score you some compliments every single time you put them on.

It is also an awesome way to hook up with your girlfriends without having to spend money so I the end of the day you realise you’re not only benefit seen new clothes you are enjoying the company of people that you like being around.
