Luckily, there are plenty of gluten-free Christmas drinks that are festive and gluten-free.

The recipe calls for one cup of cider, one tablespoon of honey, and two cinnamon sticks. This drink can be made before or poured into a hot mug as an after-dinner drink.

What You’ll Need:

  • Fresh ginger, peeled and chopped Allspice berries 
  • Whole clove 
  • Water  
  • Dry white wine or sparkling cider 
  • Oranges (cut each one in half) 
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish.

Instructions: Add the first four ingredients to a large saucepan over high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add sliced oranges and simmer for 10 minutes more. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes before serving hot in mugs topped with cinnamon sticks, or chill in the fridge before serving cold.

4. Mulled ‘Wine’ Virgin Cocktail 

This festive drink will warm you up on a cold evening. Mulled wine is the perfect winter warmer, and this recipe uses fresh fruit for sweetness instead of refined sugar. 

The alcohol can be omitted if desired or replaced with grape juice for a non-alcoholic version. The ingredients include the following:

  • Water 
  • Fresh red grapes (halved) 
  • Apple (peeled and chopped) 
  • Orange (peeled)
  • Cinnamon stick (broken into pieces)
  • Cardamom pod (split open lengthwise) 
  • Cloves 2 tablespoons honey

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until the fruit has softened.

  • Add in the lemon juice and let cook until it reaches your desired consistency. Stir in the bourbon (or brandy), cinnamon stick, and lemon peel at this point if desired.

Start by simmering the ingredients together on the stovetop for 30 minutes or until they have reduced by half in volume. Serve hot or cold!

  • Raw cashews soaked in water for at least 3 hours or overnight
  • Maple syrup (or agave)
  • Vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
  • Pinch sea salt (optional)

One of my favorite recipes is vegan salted Mexican hot chocolate. It’s simple and quick to make, and the final product is rich and creamy with just a hint of saltiness. 

The recipe below makes two servings but can easily be scaled up depending on how many people you’re making it for. 

  • Semisweet chocolate chips 
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder 
  • Soy milk or other non-dairy milk

12. Quick and Easy Dairy Free Eggnog 

This dairy free eggnog is quick and easy but tastes even better than its non-dairy counterparts. The best part about this recipe is that you can make it in less time than the recipes that call for eggs.

This means more time for you to spend with your loved ones! Ingredients: Almond milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup or another sweetener (if desired), coconut cream (optional, but makes a richer taste), nutmeg.
